Desktop Mine EvaluationNi Project, Western Australia
Piran Mining was commissioned to conduct a desktop open pit mine evaluation on several deposits. The purpose of the study was to determine whether the deposits could be mined and the product sold economically using conventional open pit mining methods and the clients nickel treatment process.
Evaluation of Tenders for the Development and Production of a Underground ProjectOngoing since Dec 2011 - Au Project, D.R.C
Piran Mining was engaged to undertake the underground mining tender process which included; defining the scope of works; creating a Request for Tender document for a five-year mining contract; arranging visits for interested parties to the client's project site; dealing with contractor clarifications and ultimately evaluationof the recieved tenders.
Final Design of Underground ProjectCu-Au Project, Finland.
Following a sucessful completion of initial work Piran Mining was engaged to submit a 2nd Stage proposal to complete the detailed update of the mine design, schedule in relation to a copper - gold project located in Finland. The scope of the 2nd stage proposal was to undertake a detailed mine optimisation, design and scheduling of the mineable stopes based on updated Cu-Au concentrate gross revenue model.
Mining Concept StudyAu Project, Western Australia
Piran Mining was engaged to undertake an underground mining scoping study below the existing open pit of a deposit located in Western Australia. Following a review with the client a new larger proposed final pit design was provided and the underground mining opportunity was re-evaluated against a smaller underground resource.
Mining Concept StudyAu Project, Western Australia
Piran Mining was engaged to undertake a conceptual underground mine design and schedule for a deposit, approximately 100km south of Laverton in Western Australia. The client intended to extend an existing open pit that was mined until 2004. The study reviewed the potential for an underground operation below the planned pit extension. The mine design focused on the higher grade zones of the deposit which were previously indentified by earlier work undertaken by Piran Mining. A final draft report and detailed mine design was created in Mine 2-4D software as part of this study.
Narrow Vein Mining ConceptAu Project, D.R.C
Piran Mining was engaged to assess the mineability of a narrow lode within the client's complex. This involved providing detail on a pragmatic approach to development of the selected ore lode, stopping method, materials handling requirements, ventilation control and ground control.
Preliminary Mining AssessmentAu Project, Mali
Piran Mining was commissioned by the client to undertake a Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) on a project, located in Mali, West Africa. As part of the preliminary analysis for the PFS an underground mining assessment was conducted. The purpose of undertaking this work was to provide guidance on the appropriate mining method on which the underground operation could be costed and hence designed.
Redesign of Underground ProjectCu-Au Project, Finland
Piran Mining was engaged to undertake a redesign of a Underground Project. The objective of the re design work was to focus on providing a higher grade (%Cu) ore stream, reduced production output, less waste development and define an alternative lower cost backfill philosophy, i.e. from hydraulic fill to cemented rock fill (CFR)
